Slightly sad Hayao Miyazaki announced his retirement but I'm quite glad that there never be a chance for him to die while making one of his movies (like satoshi kon-also one of my favorite directors) . I wish him the best of luck and I will watch the wind is rising soon. He also plans to allow the director of Arrietty to direct Porco Rosso 2 which Hayao will be credited as a producer and writer. It feels like he is passing the reins to Hiromasa Yonebayashi (director of Arrietty, he's been with ghibli since Princess Mononoke). Just finished watching The Secret World of Arrietty, which by the way is a great movie it was my fist studio ghibli film that Hayao Miyazaki didn't direct. It inspired me to drawing, when looking for music I ran across a set of videos called Hayao Miyazaki to John Lasseter. They were private videos that was suppose to be just for john but studio ghibli decided to release it publicly. They were about Hayao miyazaki's time in the US, he went to pixar, Toronto film festival, and many other places. It was amazing, so I'm even more inspired to draw right now even though its 4am.

Hmm wondering on what to draw next and wishing that I fell asleep earlier instead of staying up the whole night. College has been keeping me busy lately but I have to start drawing everyday again and not just in school.

21 minutes past midnight and it's september 11th I'm 21 today! I feel old I still remember going to Hollywood Video Store to rent VHS. But I feel like I've matured and I have been thinking about my future a lot more recently. I hope everyone has a good day today

I've been taking drawing seriously for about 2 months now, someone told me that my drawings suck and that I quit drawing anime. As well as that I can't draw anime because "I'm not Asian". The part about my drawings suck, it hurt me a little since I'm starting to try harder. I lost the will to draw... Though I feel better today, I have been drawing but taking more time with my art. My teacher told me i have the talent but I need to be patient, pay attention to detail, and to overall struggle with my work.
